The Supply magazine launches today

A new digital entertainment magazine, The Supply will be launched at Black Bistro Lounge and Cocktail kitchen in Gaborone today.
The magazine, which is the brainchild of Mahalapye lad George Magapa alias Staggz is a first of its kind in the country.
In an interview, the launch organizer, Gilbert Seagile of Gilbert Promotions noted that The Supply would cover local artistes and brands giving them local and international exposure.
He said the magazine would help transform creative industry players, by affording them an opportunity to grow as individuals and theb industry as well.
The 20-paged magazine will be published monthly and distributed electronically through WhatsApp.
“We are operating under a constrained budget, as such we are convinced that through the use of WhatsApp we will be able to reach a larger audience,” he said.
Seagile said The Supply would have a page dedicated to upcoming and unknown artistes as a way of unveiling them to the intended audience, to shine and help nurture their talent further.
The seasoned promoter said the page would also will feature human interesting stories, health and financial literacy among others.
“It will also feature young women talk about their daily hassles and their inspirations among others,” he said.
Seagile also said although the main purpose was to afford local artistes recognition, The Supply would also feature international music legends with inspiring records.
“The Supply intends to mainly focus on building up local artistes and helping them to gain exposure. Such exposure can enable them to use their talent as a means for self-empowerment and diversify the economy,” he said.
Sarona Mokgethi alias Sasa Klaas, an award winning local female artiste, recently celebrated for scoring a television presenting gig in South Africa alongside South Africa media legend, Phat Joe, is expected to make an appearance at the launch. ENDS
