Kotaeshwele receives food hampers

Molepolole Entertainment Group has donated food hampers to a legendary folk singer and guitarist of note, Kotaeshwele whose real name is Taka Baponi.
Kotaeshwele, together with his younger brother, the late Stampore, have for many years entertained music lovers through Radio Botswana's popular Sunday music programme, Dipina le Maboko.
The 68 year-old Mathaithai hit song singer’s health has deteriorated although his intuitive passion for playing his guitar still lives on.
Veteran jazz music DJ, Shima Monageng, said the group decided to donate food hampers to the music legend after they learnt of his deteriorating health.
He said the situation compelled them to extend a helping hand to one of their own upon realizing that since COVID-19 pandemic almost put everyone’s life on pause, Kotaeshwele was also not an exception.
Receiving the donation on behalf of his uncle, Doreen Baponi, thanked the group for remembering Kotaeshwele during these trying times.
She, however, condemned some artists who used the social status of people like Kotaeshwele to obtain funds and other donations through false means. ends
