The 2019 Goledzwa Music Festival billed for Obed Chilume Sports on New Year’s Eve, promises to be bigger and better than in the previous years.

Speaking during the Goledzwa Music Festival media briefing at Francistown recently, one of the event’s directors, Sydney Nzala ‘Dj Boogie Sid’ said they saw it to host the event at a much bigger venue to accommodate multitudes of revellers expected to grace this year’s festival.
“We guarantee a tight security during the course of the event,” he said.
He thanked Mascom Wireless, Kgalagadi Breweries (KBL) and Cresta Thapama Hotel for their endless support.
Dj Boggie Sid said this year’s event themed, #Go tla nna monate, would attract local artistes such as Charma Gal, Khoisan, Drama-Boi, Dj Cue, Han-C adding that international artistes such as Zanda Zakuza and Nomcebo would also perform.

He highlighted that glow in the dark wrist bands would be on sale during the event as a way of raising money to give back to the community through Goledzwa Gives Back initiative.

Itekeng Ward Councilor, Lesego Kwambala said it was an honour that the event’s directors had engaged local authorities as they spearhead development of the city.
“Bringing in local authorities will on its own contribute to the success of the event and also boost small businesses”, he said.
The councilor further said music festivals were taking Francistown by storm, which could change the entertainment industry in their area.
Normal tickets for the festival will be sold at P100, while tickets purchased at the gate will be P150.  VIP tickets will be sold at P1 000 respectively with few benefits.
Cooler boxes will be allowed for free only when they are inclusive of the KBL products and the products will be sold at affordable prices to restrict people from buying non-KBL products. ends
