Madam Queen modelling agency, recently, held a show titled; Spring light fashion show as a way of nurturing and boosting models’ talent.
In an interview, the Madam Queen coordinator, Queen Kolobe said the main aim of the show was to nurture and groom talent at a young age, adding ‘we want them to look at life in a different and positive way’.
Kolobe said the 42 Miss Junior Botswana finalists and 16 models from her modelling agency, fundraised for Childline, as a way of giving back to the community.
“The children there do not have parents and through this gesture, we hope that they will appreciate that despite the circumstances they find themselves in, there are people out there who love and care for them,” she said.
She said a lot of children had talent and were hungry to showcase it to the world, hence the agency’s stand to give them the platform.
Furthermore, Kolobe pointed out that such events give parents an opportunity to mingle with their children and improve their relations.
“This eases communication between a parent and a child and it also helps parents see their children in a different light and support their passion,” she said.
The show was sponsored by Jb Sports and CB Stores through their summer gear, a courtesy they have been extending since 2007. ENDS
