Gospel artiste Galefele Setabo aka Gale D Bird’s album dubbed Go rutwa ke Jehova will hit shelves on September 30.
Gale D Bird’s second album has six tracks.

In an interview, Gale D Bird, a staunch member of ZCC said she saw it fit to use her God-given talent to change lives.

The 25-year-old promising musician said she had observed that gospel music appeals to a wide range of music enthusiasts.

“While some people appreciate various genres such as house, rave, they still listen to gospel music.

Gospel is played at most social events such as funerals, weddings, so most people have their favourite gospel tune.”

She said given its musical influence she saw it fit to use it to spread good news.

The six-tracked albums has songs such as Jeso sediba sa bophelo, Go rutwa ke ena, Thaba sione, Tshepha Modimo, Tshenolo and Bona go tlhagile maru.

“This project is produced by Kitso Mauchaza at Nice Cut Productions. I have worked with Soul graphics, Yuppie, Sbugie and Peace,” she said.

She explained that she chose to use her powerful voice in gospel due to the fact that she was from a Christian family.

She chose it with the intentions of guiding the youth towards Christ; to always put God first in their day-to-day activities. She also intended to give hope to the children out there who were going through tough situations.

“I was raised in a Christian family so I grew up in church, that’s why I chose this path. My aim being to make my peers realise the importance of knowing God.

I have worked mostly with Sunday school children to help guide them and curb them from social ills such as substance abuse, said the youthful singer.

The upcoming songstress said her intention was to raise awareness to the world through music as well as to help the needy youngsters who come from underprivileged families as they have touched her.

Gale D Bird further explained that her music was also influenced by various lifestyles as well as current situations affecting people.

“These situations could be depressing hence needs something as soothing as the word of God preached through music.

After my father’s passing, I suffered pain and trauma of losing someone close to me. I found comfort in the Lord.”

Her album is a motivational album, meant to give hope to the hopeless as well as to motivate them to trust in God’s plans.

She explained that her family had always had her back since she started her singing career back in 2014, as they motivated her to show the world her talent as well as doing all they could to help her make it in the music industry.

Gale D Bird said her debut Jehova keo tshepile released in 2014 was well received as it was played in Botswana Television, RB1, RB2 and other radio stations.

She shot a video for one of the tracks, Ba sokologe, which did well and enjoyed massive airplay on national television and online.

Given the previous album’s success she is optimistic about Go rutwa ke Jehova doing well in the market.

She worked with various artistes on her album such as Kitso Mauchaza from Nice Cut Productions, Sbugie, Molf Molefe from soul graphics and Diteko kelefang. ENDS
