08 Sep 2019

A truly heartfelt and endearing read titled Walking into your divine purpose; The beauty of submission, is a thoughtful and inspiring guide on how to succeed in life and heal deep, emotional scars from the past. In the book, Kgalalelo Nthobatsang explains how lemons can be turned into lemonade on a daily basis.

Ms Nthobatsang, aged 35, is one of a growing number of local authors to emerge who are keen to alert the community on social-ills and contribute to high moral nations founded on strong Christian principles.

Speaking during an interview at the book launch in Gaborone on Saturday, Nthobatsang said it was fitting for her to write the book and be used as a  living testimony of God’s grace restoring shattered dreams in the face of hardship.

“This book is a true reflection of my life journey from humble beginnings growing up in Serowe. It illustrates that it is never late to realise your dream and it is a true must-have for anyone seeking scriptural and emotional solace in life,” she said.

Open to people of all ages particularly the youth, the book gives the reader hope that all is not lost during trying times. The book aims to equip the youth with skills and knowledge to take control of their lives along with vital opportunities to connect with others.

“The youth are a very important segment of our society. They are indeed our future leaders if the statistics provided by Statistics Botswana are anything to go by. We are indeed headed for a big challenge, that if not nipped in the bud, will wreak havoc in years to come,” said Nthobatsang.

One of the chapters in the book, she said was based on perseverance, which highlights perseverance as the ability to stay put through situations that are trying and painful.

“The motivation for the perseverance is the future joy of seeing your dream fulfilled. It is the ability to see the long-term instead of feeling fearful about the immediate,” she said.

The topic on perseverance, she said builds knowledge, through failures, disappointments and resistance.

According to one of the readers, Karabo Babusi, he said at some point he felt empty with no purpose in life and he credited the book for transforming his thinking.

Babusi applauded the author for sharing her life experiences to transform the lives of others. “Kgalalelo’s experience has been so inspiring and empowering she is now helping others to pull through various hardships that can shatter dreams,” he said. Ends
