02 Sep 2019
Pamela Bhulu, also known as Nomina, a Motswana lady born in Zimbabwe, now residing in Germany, has released a new hit single Amadlozi.
Nomina’s new song starts with great success, its video being featured worldwide on MTV and also enjoying high rotation on several radios including BMS Radio in Chicago.
In an interview, Nomina’s manager Mr Stefan Lambert said Amadlozi is a must-listen for anyone who enjoys fresh and vibrant music. He said Amadlozi, the first release from the new album I Found Myself which was officially released in 2019, is among the best singles from the singer-songwriter to date.
He also said the singer shows listeners that the power of words and music cannot be compartmentalised.
“In Amadlozi, Nomina embraces her culture and shows us her roots such as the tradition of celebrating your own ancestors and asking them for support, advice and help. Amadlozi was written from the heart and she sings it with so much beauty and love. It is an expression of harmony and the lyrics are steeped in meaning. The joy is infectious, even addictive. This song makes you feel good,” says Lambert.
With her first singles Mamaland and Don't Cry Africa released in 2016 and 2017 respectively, Nomina gained millions of fans, particularly in Africa and her homeland, where her music is played on the radios and on TV.
From the start, her songs shone with authority but in this new, inspiring song there lies a new, unique timbre ,the voice of a woman who has been through more than a few difficult times.
Nomina takes her listeners on a journey through passion, fun, misery, pain, hope and love.
Her music is more than an inspiration, it is a gift to share with the world.
