Utilise affirmative action initiatives Lelatisitswe

Remote Area Dwellers have been encouraged to take advantage of initiatives contained in the affirmative action.

Assistant Minister of Health and Wellness, Sethomo Lelatisitswe stated during a Miss RADP beauty contest at Letlhakane recently that participants should use the opportunity to change their lives.

He said behavioral change which was among the objectives of the pageant, should start with them. The initiative, whose aim is to unearth natural beauty and talent, Sethomo said had transformed the lives of young women, with some now employed while others were engaged in sustainable income generating projects.

Boteti Sub-council assistant council secretary, Milton Keitshokile said the pageant ensured inclusiveness of people living in remote areas, self-esteem and also to built resilient communities.

The beauty queens and princes were from five settlements of Xere, Mmea, Kedia, Khwee and Makgaba. Kesetse Baoreng of Khwee was crowned Miss RADP 2019 Boteti Sub-district, Segomotso Moilamashi of Xere snatched first princess while Agang Gabatlhaole of Makgaba took second princess.

The queen won P5 000, first princess P4 000 and second princess took P3 000. Ookeditse Toteng of Kedia was crowned the prince and won P4 000, Motshereganyi Ketabarayajang of Makgaba won P3 000 while Tsholofelo Soling of Kedia snatched position three and won P2 000. Ends
