The Legends Live Tour music festival will be held at Ba Isago Convention Centre on May 25.

The festival, which is the brainchild of Lesire Morotsi and Lesedi Mpabanga, will feature South Africa’s legendary artistes, Kori Moraba, Johnny Mokhali, Steve Kekana, Bapsy Mlangeni as well as Socca Moruakgomo and Amantle Brown.

The concert aims to empower and mentor young artistes.

Proceeds will be donated to Botswana Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted (BABPS).

One of the artistes set to perform on the day, Moraba said during a press conference on Monday that good music comes with investing time and effort.

Moraba said perfecting a song could sometimes take years.

As such, the Tsoang, Tsoang hit-maker has encouraged youngsters not to rush their work but put effort into it.

He said their songs should carry a message and steer away from bubblegum music. Maraba, who boasts of 37 albums, challenged youth to draw inspiration from old songs.

He said they should re-arrange them but acknowledge old folks when using their work.

Meanwhile, tickets are sold at P250 (early birds), P350 (standard) and P500 (VIP). ENDS
