The Ultimate Motivational Speaker talent search aimed at searching for motivational speakers has been launched, with auditions set to start August.

Speaking at the launch recently, Joe Speaks managing director, Kgomotso Jongman said they wanted to create a college of professional motivational speakers.

Jongman said after identifying talent, they would nurture them into professionals.

He said they wanted to change the landscape of motivational speaking in the country, make a difference in people’s lives and create of a pool of professional motivators.

The auditions, he said would start August with 20 competitors who would be allocated five minutes each to showcase their skills before a panel of judges.

He said the number would be cut to 10, where focus would be on building character.

The top five, he said would be sent for a boot camp where they would be taught various topics.

The winner will be determined from the top three to be picked by a panel comprising international and local motivational speakers and will walk away with P15 000, a trip to Ohio, United States of America for a seminar and an opportunity to address an audience.

Second position speaker will take home P8 500 while third will pocket P7 500.

Audition fees are charged at P250 and the search is open for all with talent and confidence.

Still at the Ultimate Motivational Speaker launch, two short story books, With a Difference and Fond Recollections were launched written by Wame Kesebonye and Emmanuel Bane respectively.

Describing her book, Kesebonye said she drew inspiration from her upbringing, different environments she grew up in, people’s stories as well as the teachings which played a vital role in her life.

While With a Difference is inspired by environment and upbringing, Bane said Fond Recollections is about life experiences.

He said the characters in the book were familiar to the reader and could relate to their lives.

The book, Bane indicated was not fiction but about how life was during his days. ENDS
