Tlhogo ya ga Johane is Belerutwana’s fourth offering that is expected to sweep gospel music lovers off their feet. Belerutwana is the stage name for 44-year-old Botsogo Modise of Goo-Tau in Tswapong North.

The baritone’s latest 11-track album is certainly set to bedazzle every Tom, Dick and Harry, who cares to listen. Modise’s singing has, like old wine mellowed over the years.

Having been a member of the Zion Christian Church Block 1 branch choir in Francistown at a tender age of eight, before joining Francistown Boys Choir in 1994, Modise is not new to the music industry after all and needs no introduction.

“I only started recording music in 2008 at the insistence of people who used to hear me belt out one or two songs at church and have not looked back ever since,” he said counting among others, the late South African music genius, Oleseng Suping among those who influenced his brand of music.

It is his wish to touch and transform as many lives as he possibly can with the latest offering, which was recorded October last year in two parts at EM-Joe records mobile studio in Gaborone and Francistown respectively.

Already, the marketing team is hard at work to devise modalities to launch the album and make sure it is available in stores across the length and breadth of Botswana.

Modise’s manager, David Away of Dukwi said his wish was to see his artiste music permeate both local and regional markets and become a brand of choice.

“He has what it takes to be right at the top and I have collaborated with him with the sole intent to make sure he reaches the peak of his career,” he said adding that as a devoted believer in God and the power of his word, David all shall come to pass.

All the 11 songs are laden with transformative message of faith, love and hope contained in the living word of God and his Son, Jesus Christ. ENDS
