Shanti Lo releases long awaited Music
17 Apr 2019
Shanti Lo has released a new album after a nine-year gap since O ya kae.
Confirming the release of the new album, Shanti Lo said the album Music has nine tracks which were personal notes.
He said although his fans missed new songs from him, they did not forget him as he had been doing shows.
He also explained that to him music was an art in which he found a safe haven as an artist.
Shanti Lo said he started recording Music in 2017, working with a Swedish producer and composer, Mikael Rosen. He said the title track Music was a celebratory song.
All songs were written by Shanti Lo except for one which was a rearrangement of Never Believe by Solo B.
Shanti Lo noted that there was need to start remixing local classics as there was so much untapped material in them.
A seasoned artist, he is also scheduled to release a debut Music video, which is directed and produced locally by House 1957.
Music is Shanti Lo’s fourth album, and he said as an artist one needed to concentrate on marketing of the album once released.
He said a lot of time was channeled towards corporate gigs, tours, media appearances and public performances.
He said although one needed to market their album, there would always be time to go back to the studio for new material.
Released a few weeks ago, Music is already on sale online and at Botswana Craft.
The launch of the album will be today at Avani. Other launches will be in Francistown, Palapye and Kasane with other places to be announced later. ENDS
