Epic Centre Farm to host Serowe Wise Out Chillas

27 Mar 2019

Serowe-based entertainment promoter Keolopile Gaopale is set to revive the village’s entertainment scene through a monthly event simply called Serowe Wise Out Chillas.

Gaopale, often referred to as Lucky, said the idea was to bridge the gap in the entertainment scene explaining that the Serowe Wise Out Chillas would attract artists (music and visuals)  and also cater for the traditional cuisine.

The event’s first edition is slated for Epic Centre Farm on March 31.

The event will be headlined by Thabang Garogwe, supported by Frost, DJ Copahead, LeSoul WaAfrica to mention a few.

The 19-year-old said although Serowe was a big village, his observation was that revellers were only treated to a good time during the festive season, while there was not much of activity during the course of the year.

“I love fun and the absence of shows in our area leaves fun lovers no choice but to travel far for such. It is risky to drive to faraway places for fun especially that by the time they come back they are tired while some will be drunk,” he said.

The farm is a few kilometres away from the village, along Serowe Paje road and given the venue’s ambience, he noted that it would help revellers unwind from week-long stress.

The promoter said the monthly events would afford both music and businesses a platform to market themselves.

“I want to see music lovers flock our village for entertainment purposes. The farm is strategic given that most tourists in transit to the deltas use the road. Some will definitely stop and patronise us, as they will be traditional dishes, crafts to mention a few,” he said. ENDS
