Botswana Craft will kick off the Mascom Live sessions with music maestro Ringo Madlingozi and the talented Lizibo on April 5. 

Lizibo, a great baritone and alto singer, is excited to be the opening act for Ringo, especially that the Mascom session comes at a time when the young lad is at the peak of his career as an Afro-pop singer. 

Like Ringo, Lizibo sings about love and he said a night with Ringo on the same stage was a dream come true for him.

Lizibo also said Ringo was his all-time favourite singer since childhood, and that he was influenced by his mother who loved and listened to Ringo’s music. 

The Malebeswa hitmaker, who recently released hit single, Di Out said it was not everyday that an artist gets to be the opening act and share the stage with someone they idolised since childhood. 

He said he was hopeful that he would learn a lot from Ringo, adding that plans were in place for a duet at the show. 

Botswana Craft manager, Oliver Groth also expressed excitement, saying the show was a perfect time to celebrate love in our lives. He also said they were hoping for a duet from the duo.

“It is always nice when local acts collaborate with international acts,” stated Groth, adding that they encouraged that with their artists. 

The first Mascom Live session of this season promises to be a thriller, especially that Ringo last performed three years ago at the session, and that the combo appealed to the masses with the same sonic realm of love songs and stage performance.
