Manhattans Temptations to perform at Ba Isago Friday

The legendary RnB and soul maestros, The Manhattans will headline the MoTown Afro Night Concert billed for March 15 at Ba Isago Convention Centre in Gaborone.

The Manhattans will be visiting for the first time accompanied by the Temptations, who came to Botswana last year and are back by popular demand for the many that did not get the opportunity to see them.

The two groups are the largest MoTown groups in the world, and they have will perform in Gaborone at the invitation of a young Motswana Afro soul singer and guitarist, Tshepiso Molosiwa, who goes by the stage name Tshepi.

The concert promises to be a memorable occasion as it will be a high profile old school event that will attract the corporate world and the old school music lovers in Botswana and surrounding countries.

The patrons will be treated to a live band and The Manhattans are expected to deliver their greatest hits such as Kiss and say goodbye and Don’t take your love, among others.

The Tshepi Live Entertainment will also bring Cheek to Cheek, Joe Nina, Tshepi and Boleseng alongside those 70s RnB groups.

Molosiwa revealed that collaboration with international acts was a move to source the music industry as a business. He said the concert was meant to market the country globally in an effort to promote cultural tourism.

He appealed to corporates to sponsor the show which has strong marketing benefits that include high visibility and effective brand alignment, opportunities for client entertainment, community goodwill and a contribution to Botswana’s increasing footprint in the global music market. ENDS
