Chunkieland production studios in collaboration with Maitisong are set to host live recordings for 13 gospel artists next month in Gaborone to unearth talent and for artists to gain recognition.

In an interview, project manager, Earnest Seakgosing said the recording dubbed the season of worship would be a three-day live recording which would enable gospel lovers to attend in different days and enjoy live music from different artists.

Moreover, Seakgosing said the recording would not only be about recognition, but to also preach the word of God through music.

He further said the recording would benefit the artists as their albums would be recorded for free by Chunkieland production Studios.

He said artists that would be taking part include Saltie, Chris Williz, Rosemarie, Johnson Mokotedi, Solo Thoti Lisa and Lyon amongst others, noting that the recording would feature 100 per cent local music.

Seakgosing also said the project had no sponsors except for the partnership with Maitisong and called for sponsors who have interest to assist them.

He said the project was costly as they had to pay musical instrument players, backing vocalists and take care of other logistics using their own funds, but expressed hope on the project becoming a success.

Seakgosing further said the project would not only benefit artists through free recording, but would also enable them to learn more about music thereby adding value to their profession.. ENDS
