YC 2 Letters drops Final Steps mix tape

12 Feb 2019

Lobatse born artist, Thuso Reasentse, known by the stage name YC 2 Letters, will on February 28 release his first mix-tape dubbed Final Steps.

In an interview, YC 2 Letters revealed that the mix tape has 20 songs, and that they would be available to his fans for free.

Reasentse said his music career was inspired by his fans who liked his music, driving him to work hard hence the mix-tape.

Reasentse joined the music industry in 2012 after realising his passion for music. He started composing at a younger age and being a lead singer at school.

YC 2 Letters said he released two new music videos for his tracks Straight Outta Ghetto and My Continent from his first album.

My Continent video was released in October 2018 and shoot by Remmogo Visuals, directed by Mo Mizdawi, featuring Anita Reasentse who goes by the name Violeta in the music industry, who is Thuso’s sister.

The 24-year-old artist said he was inspired by the fact that the African continent was always looked down upon by other nations.

“But, the video portrays the African way of life such as farming, growing crops and selling to earn a living,” he said.

The video, he said, was made to inspire young Africans to be proud of their way of living instead of imitating Western ways.

Straight Outta Ghetto video, he said, targeted the young who indulged in drugs and alcohol, urging them to refrain from that as it impacted negatively on their lives.

Reasentse said he also dedicated the song to upcoming artists who also indulged in such behaviour to stay away from that and act as role models to young people. Ends
