Many things can provide an inspiration to an individual to prosper.

And for Larona Ezekiel, it was his passion for music.

The love for music in general motivated DJ Zoski, as he is popularly known, to follow his passion and live his dream of being one of the best DJs.

When narrating his story in an interview, he said his love for music developed at a tender age, as he used to mimic other artistes.

“When I was still at primary school, I used to imitate other artistes. And seeing Crispin, The Drummer wowing his audience motivated me to work hard, so as to follow my passion and live my dream,” he said.

DJ Zoski, who started his music career in 2010, said he once shared the stage with renowned artistes such as African Roots, Sun El and Simmy from South Africa adding that in Botswana he shared the stage with ATI, Team Distant, Vee, DJ Gouviea and many others.

The 23-year-old Kanye-lad  said sharing the stage with legendary artistes gave him the platform to learn more on branding, good performance, self-discipline and good communication, especially with the audience and also helped him build his profile.

DJ Zoski said he used social media to market himself and also volunteers in some events as a way of giving back to the community.

His dream is to be one of the popular DJs in the country and be an inspiration to other people.

He acknowledges DJs Chabo and Guvos and the Library Club Management for their support and motivation in his journey.

He also thanked government for introducing the President’s Day Competitions as they provide upcoming artistes with the opportunity to explore their talents learn from one another.  

Despite his success, he bemoaned the lack of support by established DJs, which he said leads to others losing hope.

“Not supporting us kills our potential. We have the potential and some promoters cannot see it because they are biased when they make line-ups for events,” he said.

He said he was working on his soon to be released single. ENDS
