Locally produced fashion brands continue to show growth and one of them is Ke Gopotse Gae clothing label which is progressing well in the industry.

Its success is attributed to commitment and determination by the brains behind it, Lesego Lethubantwa who has decided to market it through social media like Facebook and WhatsApp.

Having been established in 2015, the label which targets mainly the youth, has already been appreciated and supported by mostly young people.

In an interview, the 27-year-old  Lethubantwa, who hails from Molepolole, said his passion, inspiration and love of creative arts dates back to when he was young which led him to start his own label which was self-funded.

He said the label simply means ‘home is where the heart is or celebrate where you come from,’ and currently offers T-shirts, caps, drinking glasses and kiddies wear.

He emphasised that his determination to make it in life prompted him to stay focused and work hard in establishing something that could sustain him, as most of the youth were faced with lack of employment.

Lethubantwa, who is an associate degree holder in advertising from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, said he was optimistic to become an entrepreneur and put his skills to use.

He said the experience he acquired from other entrepreneurs like him helped him to push hard something which opened his mind to think about more opportunities he could venture into, citing that as a result in 2018 he introduced another clothing label called Phuas 08, which was doing well in the market.

He, however, said at the beginning, he had doubts that his label would do well, saying that he overcame that by believing on what he does. ENDS
