24 Jan 2019
Tshegofatso Elijah aka Saltie has released a gospel single album, Omaatla; a song that declares the mighty and sovereignty of God over personal life challenges.
Omaatla speaks of how the Lord gives strength to the weak and the weary and how he is able to show his greatness by fighting for his people.
Omaatla also reveals how God delivers his people and gives them breakthrough for with Him all things are possible.
“It is derived from my personal life experience and gives God the credit because I have realised just how futile human strength is, and with the many issue of life we face we can only rely on God for strength and companionship” said Saltie. Saltie, who describes herself as a minister of the word and a person who loves music writing, also sings for We Must Praise and has released her debut single Believe last year whereas Omaatla was released January 16.The Mosu-born gospel singer said she grew up serving at church and that her ‘music is an expression of my life experiences through the lens of faith, inspiring hope, faith in a way that is relates giving as an honour to God’.
A gifted musician, who also plays guitar and other instruments, said that her single, Believe was well received by Batswana and gave her the platform to launch her music career. Saltie plans to release an album later this year. The 23-year-old does not only sing but is also a business owner who does graphics, event décor and photography. She is also a Bible school graduate with a diploma in Practical Theology. ENDS
