Some young enterprising creatives from Gabane have introduced the Sunday chill sessions to give grown-ups a chance to socialise in a relaxed atmosphere on Sunday afternoons.

The picnic-like setting up session is held every first Sunday of the month in a garden, Top High Events just a few metres from the Gabane/Kanye main road.

Sunday Ultimate Chill organiser, Olorato Ledikwe said she started organising the sessions in March last year in order to provide entertainment for the grown-ups.

As most of the elderly, enjoys Sunday outing, Ledikwe said she saw a gap and sought to offer them a relaxed atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon.

“Sunday Ultimate Chill allows everyone to bring along their picnic blankets, camp chairs and have a couple of drinks while listening to the house soul beat that calms the mind and soul, as well as gets one ready for the coming week,” she said.

She said the sessions were at times themed so as to add spice to the event and create excitement.

However, she noted that the event was not for the benefit of the organiser and her partners alone. She said the session was all about building brands as shown by the number of small businesses that usually provide meals for the patrons at the event.

It also offers a platform for creatives like MCs, photographers as well as Djs.

Ledikwe explained that they give an opportunity to those that were keen to make an honest living.

The Sunday Ultimate Chill February edition will be themed ‘Everything Love’, as it is a month of love. ENDS
