Traditional music expo December 6

The Botswana Traditional Music Expo 2018 slated for December 6, promises a night full of festivities with abundant traditional food and brew as well as traditional attire in celebration of Botswana’s culture.
Speaking at a press conference, founder of Botswana Traditional Music Expo, Losika Seboni says the festival had been celebrating traditional music in its raw form and creating a platform for upcoming artists for the past 15 years.
He said the expo had contributed immensely to the growth of the cultural talent, nurtured them and offered a platform for traditional music to be known not only in Botswana, but to the international audience as well.
Meanwhile, Botswana Insurance Fund Management (BIFM) chief executive officer, Neo Bogatsu said they had been the music expo’s strategic partners for the past six years.
She said BIFM had contributed towards the developement arts in the country and would continue to do so.
She said BIFM prides itself in contributing to the re-birth of Botswana’s traditional culture through the expo and further commended the festival for its continued support of local traditional artistes, who make a living through their talent and sustain their lives.
For his part, renowned traditional music artiste, Kabelo Mogwe of Culture Spears fame, expressed gratitude towards the traditional music expo’s organisers.
He said it was through the festival that he got his shot to fame and had been able to sell Botswana to the world through cultural music.
Culture Spears, Motlha, Dipela tsa ga Kobokwe will headline the music expo. END
