Vusi at it again

One of Botswana’s top gospel maestro Vusi Mtokufa has released a new gospel album, which is titled Glorious Season.
The album was released two months ago and has proved to be a hit as gospel lovers continue to swam Musica Stores in Gaborone at both RiverWalk and Game City stores among others in search for it, thus upped sales.
It will be officially launched next year January and is rocking songs like; Sihlangane, Okile wanna Motho, See what the Lord has done, O tsena kgalalelo, What a friend we have, Sedilaka, Modimo ya matla, Nthekolle, Amapelo yame, Halebokwe and Celebrate remix.
Vusi, who has never released an album with low rating, noted with pride that the album was equally doing wonders in South Africa where it is marketed by Thato Mampe, who has worked with various household gospel kingpins such as Solly Mahlangu and Spirit of Praise.
He admitted that sometimes when he sings some confuse him with some South African artists like Tshepiso and S’fiso among others. He said it was because if one had been mentored and collaborate with maestros like them, one way or the other, he was bound to sing in a similar way.
Among the 11-track album Vusi said his favourite song was Nthekolle, which forms part of the songs he composed. He said it was a prayer to God to cleanse and purify one’s heart, especially troubled souls.
Vusi admits that in his latest album he has not featured any artist, but will do so during the live shooting of the video next January and hopes to include young and upcoming gospel artists, a move that will expose them to the larger gospel audience and build their musical career.
Some of the songs are composed by Vusi while some were composed by Mampe with the rest being hymns from gospel book, but have been rearranged to better draw listenership in a more refined way. ENDS
