After being away from the music business for almost 10 years, kwaito top dog is set to release a sizzling single dubbed Ka Ba Khabatha.

In an interview, Kagiso Otukile affectionately known in music circles as Coloza said he started working on the single last year so as to release a quality product.

The 36-year-old Kanye-born and Mogoditshane route 7 hitmaker said the single called, Ka ba Khabatha was about his experiences.

“I went through difficulties when I released my first album. The song is directed to the upcoming artistes to warn them against con-artistes who masquerade as promoters only to milk artistes. Be warned these con artists waylay to dupe you of your hard earned cash,” he cautioned.

He pointed out that a lot of once famous and successful musicians were reeling in abject poverty due to underhand tactics by con-artistes.

Other than using the song as a conduit to send the warning, the song which caters for the young and old boogieing was also a gift to fans that will be able to access it freely on social media platforms like Facebook, among others.

He produced the beat while mix master, Tebogo Ipotseng of Woodhall Records recorded and mastered the song.

Due to high demand from fans, he said he decided to work on the single, which will be a professional fusion between kwaito and mpanxanga.

Fans, he said should also brace themselves for a music video to be released next month before the premier of the full album in November.

The album, he said would feature old school music artistes like Eskimos, Exodus, Franco, Alfredo Mos, Street Gang, Ashley Gops, among others.

Regarding his evident absence from the music scene for close to a decade, Coloza explained that he went to school so that he may have something to fall back on.

“I went to school in South Africa where I enrolled for an Information Technology course because I had to think about life after music,” he said.

He said he was not all lost to the industry because he used his spare time to assist upcoming artistes on music production.

His advice to upcoming artistes is to take time when making music to avoid dissapponting their fans. ENDS
