It is often said believing in oneself and having passion to implement one’s dream is a breakthrough to success.
For one Lebone Mosekiemang popularly known as Chovaboi, the saying paved way for his calling as he continues to do what he loves most.
He said he was he proud of his achievements.
Throughout his schooling journey, he excelled in art.
Twenty-six-year old Rasesa lad said he discovered his talent at a young age when he was staying with his uncle who loved drawing and he followed suit.
With much motivation from home and school, Mosekiemang said he never backed back but believed he had so much to prove to his supporters and himself.
He said after completing his Information and Communication Technology certificate at Maun Technical College and struggling to find work, he decided to fulfill his burning desire for art.
He said he visited museums and exhibitions to learn more about art.
Mosekiemang, who does murals/paint drawings on tuck shops and pre-schools, said his focus was on potrait drawings.
After realising that many artists were focused on using computers, he said he found it wise to be different.
Mosekiemang, who took part in the 2017 Presidents Day competitions, did not go far as he did not know much about what was expected of him.
However, said always be forever grateful for the opportunity as he learned a lot about exhibitions.
After the President’s Day competitions, he entered many exhibitions, which also gave him the opportunity to become one of the youth advisory panelist at United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
Mosekiemang, who wishes to have his own art studio in the next five years, said he was also intending to recruit and work with young artists adding that the move would also help to keep young people off the streets as well as help them explore and nurture their talents.
He said it was time for the youth to take their talents serious and explore other ways of making money through their god-given talents so as to reduce high unemployment rate in the country.
He said there were many ways the youth could use to generate income through better use of technology.
Social media, he said was one tool he used more often to advertise his products, which had done wonders for him.
Mosekiemang encouraged youth to follow suit and be inspired by others who gained fame through social media in a good way. ENDS
