Central District Council transform Kenyaditswes life

The winner of 2015 Miss RADP (Remote Area Development Programme) for Central District Council (CDC), Oduetse Kenyaditswe has urged youth, especially those in remote areas to use such opportunities as Miss RADP beauty pageant to better their lives.
After being crowned Miss RADP for CDC in 2015, Kenyaditswe used P15 000 of her prize money to start a beauty business specialising in pedicure, manicure and massage.
The 25-year-old who hails from Lepokole said in an interview that to establish a unique type of business like beauty art needed commitment and determination.
She said that she used the money she worn to buy machines and other tools necessary for her business to run.
“Massage involved rubbing and kneading the body to stimulate blood circulation and relieve tension,” she explained.
She narrated that the market segment for her kind of business included youth as well as young adults and it also targeted both men and women.
To attract more customers, Kenyaditswe said her prices were affordabled as compared to charges in urban areas.
Speaking about Miss RADP beauty pageant, she said it was an initiative aimed at identifying talent, addressing issues of inclusiveness as well as promoting and branding Remote Area Development programme.
Kenyaditswe said she got position one at Lepokole, where the competition began and she proceeded to Bobirwa Sub-district competition, where she was crowned Miss RADP Bobirwa.
She then went to participate at the district level, where she was crowned Miss RADP Central.
“Failure to make it to the national level in 2016 was not the end of my road to participate in the industry of beauty pageants as I still want to participate in the upcoming beauty pageant competitions such as Miss Botswana,” she said. Ends
