The countdown for The Life Changing Concert featuring Joyous Celebration has begun.

According to the organisers Brave Heart (Pty) Limited, the show billed for August 25 at the UB Indoor Sport Complex, would see the entire Joyous Celebration 22 cast, including their band.

The two set event would feature the recently released album, which is a compilation of 32 songs.

The managing director of Brave Hearts, Joseph Manuel, said in the last media briefing that local artistes, including comedians, would also perform at the concert.

He however, declined to name them, saying they will remain a surprise until the day of the event.

Among the 32, there is the popular Psalmist Sefhako’s Modimo ke lerato, which emphasises the need to love one another as love is the greatest thing because God is love.

Another popular song to look out for is Wenzile, which thanks God for the great things he has done sung by Sibusiso Mthembu and has danceable tunes and rhythm.

Pule March’s Ke laolwa Ke Moya is another people’s favourite and speaks of how the spirit of God directs people.

Worship songs include Umoya Kulendawo, The Lord’s Prayer and Angiyi Ndawo among other.

In interview with BOPA a Joyous Celebration fan, Clement Modiri said he could not wait for that “special time with the Lord.”

He said his love for Joyous Celebration had over the years, seen him travel to South Africa to enjoy their performances during tours and live recordings.

“I cannot wait for the day because I love Joyous Celebration as their songs uplift my spirit,” he added.

Kemmonye Dikao could not hide her excitement as most of the time she depended on live videos and DVDs to enjoy Joyous Celebration’s performances and sweet melodies.

Dikao said Batswana love Joyous Celebration and that there was no better time for the group to perform in Botswana than now.

The organisers remind Joyous Celebration lovers that tickets will not be sold at the venue hence the need to buy them in advance.

Joyous Celebration was formed by gospel producers Lindelani Mkhize, Jabu Hlongwane and Mthunzi Namba and has won numerous awards including Best Gospel Event of the Year at the 2013 Africa Awards in London. ENDS
