An upcoming instrumental gospel producer, Modise Kooneeng affectionately known as B-M has released his first eight track album titled Ke motshepile.

Kooneeng stated that he was led by the Holy Spirit to produce the album, which he said was aimed at winning souls as well as restoring the spirits of those who were down spiritually.

“My music is all about people and their spiritual well-being,” he said.

He stated that his music accommodates everyone and does not have a limitation on who to sing to because God has given him a direction to preach the gospel through singing.

The Mogobane producer stated that his latest album features catchy Christian songs and was recorded by Monde Kama of 2screen studios in White City, Gaborone.

The 32-year-old artist stated in an interview that he grew up loving church and singing therefore gospel was something he was passionate about, adding that his ability to lead songs started at church and at school. He was awarded the best singer at the end of his stay at Mogobane Junior Secondary School.

"The only way I can preach gospel is through my voice and I realised that God has called me to spread his message through songs,” he said.

Kooneeng stated that before going solo he used to collaborate with Easy Rihvoni Boys Choir as well as Mandoza and in the Ke motshepile album there are songs which he featured the melodious voice of Koketso Motswaborwa.

“I am grateful for the people I worked with before going solo because they have taught me the ropes of the music industry and I am now able to stand on my own,” he lamented, saying, “I believe that gospel music should take people from one level to the other spiritually and I wish Batswana could take it seriously and buy my music.”

“Even though the market is not yet satisfactory, I will not despair,” he said.

Kooneeng said he derived his inspiration from Kenny Makweng of South Africa in the gospel music industry, noting that most of the times he performs during social gatherings. Ends
