Radio Botswana 2 (RB 2) presenter, One Samuel of Gospel 103 radio show is pleading for votes.

Samuel and the show have been nominated for the Botswana Gospel Music Awards (BOGMA) best presenter and best gospel show.

The show, which airs on Sundays from 6am-9am is aimed at equipping, empowering and uniting an audience of believers and non-believers.

It consists of five segments such as worship music aimed at bringing people closer to God, while motivation segment encourages listeners on issues of prayer life, family, business and human development.

Samuel, who is also the producer of the show, revealed in an interview that the gospel show was not just work but a calling. “I apply myself personally,” she added.

She said the show deserved votes as it was a life changing platform as a lot of testimonies were coming forth, revealing that one lady wanted to take her life because of challenges in her life but changed her mind and now she was married with a happy family.

The show, she said does not particularly talk only about the word of God but also deals with social issues.

Samuel said the show was not for people who were affiliated to any church.

Normally, she said she allowed the Holy Spirit  to guide her on the content of the show.

She also revealed that the platform had assisted her to help people grow. She had featured Kgomotso Jongman in her show who has now started a Social Workers’ Association.

Also, she said Zannel Sealetsa was yet another person the show helped and has now established, Turning Point with Zannel, which offers counselling and psychological support.

The awards would be held at Winner’s Chapel International Church in Gaborone on August 4.

SMS voting lines are as follows; for best presenter sms GMA39 to 17272 and best radio show sms GMA15 to 17272. ENDS
