– Rittar Nkawana, the vocalist on DJ King’s celebrated Gosiame, has dropped her dancehall single titled Loving you featuring Dj Benyboi.

To show her diverse and flexible deportment, Rittar, whose previous offering was house, says she wants to explore and experiment with other genres to give her fans a varied choice.

Speaking in an interview, the 23-year-old said she was pleased with the feedback she received after her airplay and interview on all local radio stations.

She said the song is currently on rotation and she is already getting bookings locally and is yet to confirm international bookings as well.

Rittar said she derives her inspiration from her personal experiences and those of others, therefore she constantly writes snippets of lyrical ideas as they come and is open to advise, consults with pros and takes constructive criticism as well.

She said the song was recorded at Beat Factory, produced by Otriz and Benyboi, mixed and mastered by Suffocate and Guitar by Reginald Mkunga.

Rittar said she was currently working on her first album and is working with keen local and international DJ Dash of Zimbabwe and DJ Vesta from Lesotho.

She said she is withholding the names of the local artistes she is working with, with the aim to make it a surprise.

While working on the album, she said she intends to drop another single from it to give her fans a feel of what she is working on.

On why she took a break in between her recent single and the last one, Rittar said she wanted to afford her music enough exposure as she has since gained the much needed bookings across the country.

She said as a sign that she was doing something worthwhile, most established artistes and deejays, both locally and internationally, are keen on working with her. 

Rittar first made her entry into the music scene in 2015, with her then single dubbed Khaya, which paved the way for her to work with DJ King who she said was intrigued by her lyrical ability hence featuring her in his famous Gosiame. ENDS
