With inspiration from the Holy Bible and a burning passion to reveal the truth about God, Albert Bogosi, 33, from Kanye has published a Setswana novel.
The novel, which aims at differentiating between darkness and the light of God, is called ‘Lesedi kapesa lefifi’.
Bogosi says the novel seeks to turn people to Christianity and empower them with principles of fighting for their faith.
He says the book also incorporates a Setswana phrase that says, Go rupa ga pelo, kobamelo ya nnete” which simply suggests that the heart has to have tenderness to worship God in truth.
It carries stories of leaders who had to turn away from their traditional way of doing things and followed God. He said such stories would inspire the reader to take a bold step of turning to the light of God.
“The novel will also teach the reader about initiation of the heart, which requires one to be a good listener and allow their heart to practice the good things of heaven,” explained Bogosi, noting that the book also outlines the challenges of being a disciple of God.
He said one of the stories in the book teaches about mounting of a church in a village which was believed to be invaded by witchcraft. It will also bring solutions to all the challenges that are faced by Christians today.
Bogosi said the book, which was written in 2015 and shelved to due to financial constraints, was now in the market.
He acknowledged support from his family who assisted him with funds to publish the book, expressing optimism that the book woukd change lives.
Bogosi said proceeds from the book would help publish other upcoming books, revealing that he was also in the process of writing another book titled The road to Damascus which would outline his challenges as a child of God.ENDS
