Motlha promises night of bliss

Afro-jazz singer, Motlha, promises a night full of magic on the night of his album launch dubbed ‘One man show with Motlha’ on Saturday (May 26).
Speaking at a press conference recently, the Mmamotse hit-maker said the event would be the first of its kind in Botswana where only one artist would be performing.
He promised to treat his fans to a delightful night filled with musical bliss.
When recounting his journey in his music career, the Mmadinare-born singer indicated that he had been able to penetrate the music industry and managed to remain relevant by staying true to himself, without compromising his beliefs.
“After winning the My Star competition in 2015, I made a promise to myself to do something different from other previous winners. I decided to embrace my culture and chose to sing in vernacular, a decision which I truly believe has set me apart from everyone and has managed to win the hearts of many,” he said.
The jazz muso further noted that he still had a long journey ahead of him but remains hopeful of his career as he believes that he has a bright future ahead of him.
BOMU president, Pagson Ntsie, advised Motlha to remain consistent in his craft as that would take him a long way in his career.
He said Motlha’s success was proof that music in Botswana has grown tremendously as local artistes were trying really hard to perfect their art.
Ntsie further urged artistes to work together to better the music industry in Botswana. ENDS
