Phalane to launch second edition

Edwin Phalane, 39 of Maun will launch his second book in July courtesy of the P18 500 sponsorship from Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development.
Phalane, who is living with disability said in an interview that the book titled, Sweet Marriages focused on educating society about married life.
He explained that the title emphasised the need to treat marriage with the dignity it deserved.
The book, he said catered for married couples, unmarried and those in relationships. “I have shared and expressed my personal experiences on love affairs in in my book,” he said.
Phalane noted that the book would motivate readers because it talked about true love in modern society.
“It has sub topics such fornication and its consequences and also touches on issues of promoting faithfulness, curbing the spread of HIV/AIDS and prevention of social ills such as passion killings among others,” he said.
Phalane commended the ministry for assisting him throughout his journey and government for empowering the youth and people living with disability.
“Though, I know Batswana are not a reading nation and in every struggle there is a challenge, I am determined to keep on going,” he said. ENDS
