Football fanatics and Nkange community will on Saturday bid farewell to one of the most promising right backs, 19-year-old, Perfect Mfandiso who played for Jwaneng Galaxy. 

The team’s communications and public relations officer, Tankiso Morake, said Mfhandiso breathed his last on February 22 at Princess Marina Hospital, where he had been admitted for some time. He started complaining of being unwell in December, Morake said. Mfhandiso was on his second season with the defending league champions. 

His first game with the club was in October 21, 2023 when Galaxy walloped Eleven Angels 6-2. 

Hi versatility, discipline and hard work earned him a place with the Under-20 national team. 

Morake said they spotted Mfhandiso at Premier Stars academy in Gaborone. His memorial service will be held in Jwaneng today. ENDS
