Botswana’s Jessica Molefe, a renowned makeup artist and digital creator, has been selected as the official content creator for the Forbes Leading Women Summit 2025, slated for Pretoria, South Africa on March 5.
The summit, known for assembling influential women in business, leadership and innovation, will provide a platform for women across industries to share their experiences and insights.
Speaking in an interview Molefe described her selection as a career-defining moment.
“I was beyond excited and deeply honoured. Being selected for such a prestigious event is a huge achievement for me. It’s an incredible opportunity to showcase the power of women in business and connect with inspiring leaders from different industries,” she said.
With a strong digital presence focused on beauty, business, and education, Molefe believes her content creation style aligns with the summit’s mission to empower women.
“I think Forbes recognised my dedication to creating high-quality, engaging content that resonates with women from different industries. My journey of building a brand from Botswana gives me a unique perspective that I bring to the table,” she said.
She also said her expertise as a makeup artist and digital creator allowed her to emphasise the power of personal branding and story-telling critical elements for success in the modern business world.
“As a makeup artist, I understand the importance of presentation, which plays a big role in how women navigate their careers. As a content creator, I specialise in storytelling that inspires and motivates. These skills will help me bring the summit to life in a visually compelling way,” she said.
Beyond the event itself, Molefe sees the Forbes Leading Women Summit as a vital platform for women in Africa to gain visibility, mentorship, and professional connections.
“It’s a space for African women to share their stories, learn from global leaders, and create new connections. It’s a step toward breaking barriers and changing the narrative about what women in Africa can achieve,” she said.
With just weeks before the summit, she is eager to network with industry leaders and document powerful moments through her content.
“The energy and inspiration at these events are unmatched. I’m excited to meet and collaborate with women making an impact in their fields and to share their stories with a wider audience,” she said.
For a high-profile event of this scale, Molefe plans to capture both the main stage highlights and behind-the-scenes interactions that define the summit experience.
“I want to create content that is both engaging and inspiring something that resonates with women globally and encourages them to take bold steps in their careers,” she said.
Reflecting on her journey, she credits hard work, consistency, and adaptability as key factors in preparing her for this partnership.
“As a makeup artist, I’ve learned how to connect with people on a personal level. As a digital creator, I’ve mastered the art of storytelling. These skills have helped me build a strong brand and communicate effectively with different audiences,” she said.
Her advice to aspiring content creators aiming to collaborate with global platforms like Forbes is to take action and remain persistent.
“Start, even when fear or doubt creeps in. Every successful creator started somewhere, often facing criticism or uncertainty. The key is to stay consistent, refine your craft, and embrace opportunities when they come. The right people will notice your dedication and authenticity,” she advised.
With the countdown to the Forbes Leading Women Summit 2025 underway, Molefe is focused on delivering impactful content and inspiring women worldwide to embrace their ambitions. ENDS
