Boko attends energy summit

President Advocate Duma Boko is in Tanzania to participate at the Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit.
The summit is co-hosted by Tanzania, the African Development Bank Group.
The meeting has brought together African heads of state, private sectors leaders, development partners, and civil society to deliberate on ways to expand energy access across the Africa Continent and provide electricity and provide electricity to 300 million people by 2030.
The meeting presents Botswana with an opportunity to be part of a collective initiative aimed at realising affordable and sustainable energy enhances livelihoods and promotes economic growth on the continent.
The Summit is expected to conclude with the signing of the Dar es Salaam Declaration, that will call African Governments to promote renewable energy and private investment, as well as, advance reforms within the energy sector.
President Boko, who is accompanied by the Minister of Minerals and Energy, Ms Bogolo Kenewendo and senior government officials, is expected back home on January 28. ENDS
