Music producer and hip hop star turned fashion designer, Bokang ‘Bk’ Proctor showcased his 2025 collection during the Express Yourself Fashion Gala 2.0 in Gaborone on Saturday.

BK Proctor started clothing brand and fashion gala in 2018 and 2023 respectively, with the latter proving to be among the best showcases in the country, in an industry that continues to grow.

The 2025 Collection by BK Proctor is nothing short of colour, with bold and chic pieces. The collection was categorised as shining horizon, amazing Botswana, pride and formal in different designs and cuts, which are not only a fashion statement but a creative inspiration.

Amazing Botswana collection stood out from the rest, with its noble and rich Botswana colours and it evokes a free spirited aura with its comfortable apparels of sport sophistication and elegance.

The formal collection was also the highlight of the event.  There is no doubt that the collection would surely present an indispensable trend for the coming season with dominant vibrant colors of pride and subtle whites, palettes of orange, yellow, burgundy with stylish details and modern look.

Other collections such as the pride collection provides a happy colorful spirit with the designer taking a stand in support of the LGBQT community, as he waved the rainbow flag through this showcase.

The pieces aver a vibrant and pop look with eye-catching attention demand. The pride collection is an essential spring and summer look and caters for anyone ready to add some flair and boldness as well as excitement to their apparel in 2025.

Meanwhile, the new collection also introduced pieces of patent leather with bare skin. 

Element pieces of short skirts and crop tops, slim long skirts, trench coats and suits stitched closer to the body in classic black and a little colour, some blue provided a provoking statement of boldness and bravery.

 The Collections by BK Proctor signature headgear scarf appeared a lot in the various collection display, adding a touch of class, elegance and sophistication.

The theme for this year’s showcase was Frosty Elegance.

While some guests attempted the theme others opted for casual elegance which blended well with the seemingly blistering night. 

A fashion showcase will not be complete without a musical performance from local talent.

 The event featured Botswana’s creative stars among them former Big Brother Africa contestant and the country’s export Oneal Africa, Vee Mampeezy, VeezoView and Ban-T, Priscila K, Samantha Mogwe and the new sensation who is fashionably putting the Sekgalagdi genre on the spot, Chokoma. Giving the show a truly Botswana creative spirit was Mafitlhakgosi traditional group with their traditional ensemble dance moves. Ends
