The much-anticipated Legends in Concert event returns tomorrow at the Avani Gaborone Resort and Casino. 

The director of Legends in Concert, Lecco Kenosi, explained in an interview that the show is aimed at generating funds to help the underprivileged members of society. 

He said this year they will enlist the help of journalists to identify a group of underprivileged people or a charity organisation to whom they will donate clothing. 

The event is expected to feature performances by renowned South African Kwaito stars; Arthur Mafokate and Sea Bee, of Homeboy fame, alongside local artistes like DJ Ngwazi, DJ Geespeezy, DJ Lamatar and Bishop-DBlock King.  

The event will be hosted by local kwaito star, Letso Mafoko, known as Umtaka and veteran promoter Zenzele Hirschfeld. 

“We followed all the procedures to bring artists from outside the country. Also, our chosen venue is secure and safe. People do not have to worry about the safety of their cars and valuables,” explained Kenosi. 

He further explained that they booked South African artists because of their continued support towards local musicians like Umtaka through 999 music company, which is Arthur Mafokate’s record label. 

Kenosi urged attendees to buy tickets as quickly as they could, indicating that they were most likely to stop selling ticket at the venue because of limited venue space. Ends
