'eBoat welcome development'

The eBOAT was launched today in Kasane, with President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi and other dignitaries taking a ride on the Chobe River.
In his speech at the launch, Vice President Mr Slumber Tsogwane said the development signifies a transformation and innovation in transportation while promoting an eco-friendly environment.
He said the electric boat presented technological advancement with zero emissions and noise pollution hence embracing principles of sustainable environment. The eBOAT is a collaboration between ALIBOATS in Maun and Botswana Institute for Technology, Research and Innovation (BITRI), and it has been manufactured by Batswana. Ends
