Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) chairperson, Mr Slumber Tsogwane has pleaded with Mmaphula East constituents to repeat what they did in the 2019 general elections and vote for BDP in large numbers in the Saturday bye-elections.

Addressing a star rally in Palapye, on Friday, Mr Tsogwane said BDP was the only party, which had organised leadership and a sound mandate to lead Batswana.

He said BDP would continue delivering its promises to Batswana, adding that their message to the voters was based on economic transformation, job creation, rule of law and the restoration of dignity.

He urged Mmaphula East constituents to vote for BDP candidate, Mr Andrew Phalalo for him to continue delivering the mandate of the party and continue where the late Mr Gagoope Sebina left to advocate for developments in the area.

He advised voters to avoid falling for the tricks of the opposition parties, which he said always made promises without any record of performance.

Mr Tsogwane said BDP has promised Batswana many things and continued to deliver them while the opposition parties on the other hand kept on making promises but there was nothing to show that they were capable of leading the country.

He said BDP was the only party with a bankable manifesto that promised a renewed hope for the people.

For his part, Mr Phalalo expressed his gratitude to Vice President Tsogwane and appealed to the electorates to vote for him. Ends
