Health ministry sets record straight

The Ministry of Health does not license traditional doctors and cannot threaten to de-register them.
In a press release, minister, Dr Edwin Dikoloti says the ministry regards traditional doctors as stakeholders in the health sector and will engage them cordially through proper channels and structures in discussing any issues concerning them.
Dr Dikoloti has also refuted allegations that the ministry has written letters or made any communication to traditional doctors in relation to the missing child or any related issue.
The minister was responding to a recent discussion on Moeladilotlhoko social media platform, insinuating that the ministry has threatened to de-register some traditional doctors involved in the search of a missing child in Lobatse. ENDS
