Emergency parliament meet January 24

Parliament will convene for an emergency meeting on January 24 to discuss urgent business.
According to a media release, the emergency meeting will be preceded by a virtual general assembly the same day at 9am.
The release further states that the 2nd meeting of the 3rd session of the 12th Parliament will commence on February.
Estimated to take 10 weeks, the meeting will start with tabling of the Appropriation (2022/2023) Bill by the Minister of Finance and Economic Development who will immediately thereafter present the budget speech, says the release.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the meetings will be virtual and broadcast live on Botswana Television.
Meanwhile the 8th meeting of the 4th Ntlo ya Dikgosi is scheduled for January 17-28. Ends
