Ministry of Transport and Communications advises members of the public using the road network in Gaborone to be vigilant, observe road signs and exercise patience as various road development projects being undertaken.

A media release from the ministry says internal lanes at Gaborone Game City roundabout will be closed and traffic will be diverted to the new slip roads, starting yesterday, to make way for construction of bridge (overpass). 

It says closure of the internal lanes is necessary to keep the public away from the project corridor and for safety, adding that a similar arrangement was currently ongoing at Rainbow Circle. 

The release further states that the ministry, in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders, are closely monitoring the progress of works and user adaptability to the new changes. 

The ministry apologises for the disruptions in traffic conditions during the construction period and look forward to the continuous cooperation of the public. Ends
