First Johnson Johnson consignment Thursday

Botswana will on Thursday receive its first ever Johnson and Johnson vaccine consignment comprising 108 000 doses.
A Ministry of Health and Wellness media release says the consignment is the first of several expected which have been purchased through the Africa Vaccine Acquisition Task Team (AVATT) facility.
“The country expects to receive a total of 1 152 654 doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine through the facility,” it says.
The release explains that the arrival of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine comes only a few days after that of an AstraZeneca consignment which was received on Sunday.
Communication on details of the rollout of Johnson and Johnson vaccine will be made next week. ends
