In a news release, the ministry says the huge turnout experienced, especially in Gaborone and surrounding areas, follows the transition yesterday to Phase Two of the COVID-19 vaccination rollout programme currently covering the 45 to 54 age group.
The release says vaccination sites will today close at 6pm.
On Saturday, the sites will open at 8am and close at 5pm while on Sunday they will open at 8am and close at noon, states the release.
“The stipulated changes will apply to Maruapula, Travel Lodge, Block 8 Clinic, Lesirane Clinic, Phase 4 Kgotla, Tlokweng Community Hall, Old Naledi Hall, Ramotswa kgotla and Mogoditshane kgotla,” it says. ends
