Ministry scales down services

The Ministry of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs will scale down issuing of Omang (national identity cards) and passports with immediate effect.
A press release from the ministry says the decision is in support of government’s measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
It says services will be rendered to fewer than usual numbers to avoid congestion in the offices countrywide.
The public is therefore advised to avoid visiting Omang offices in large numbers and further strive to keep the one metre distance from each other, wash hands frequently and use hand sanitisers to protect themselves as advised by the Ministry Health and Wellness. Ends
