Department suspends 202021 applications

The Department of Tertiary Education Financing has suspended all sponsorship applications for the 2020/21 financial year until further notice.
In a press release, the department says the move is in compliance with the directions for prevention of the spread of COVID-19 in accordance with the Public Health Act.
It says all sponsorship applications collection centres, including University of Botswana stadium, Palapye Technical College, Maun Technical College, Matsha College in Kang, Tsabong Education Centre, Selebi Phikwe Technical College, Ghanzi Education Centre and Francistown College of Technical and Vocational Education are closed with immediate effect.
The release further says normal department functions will, however, continue at its offices in Gaborone. ENDs
