Office of the President says contrary to a  March 7 Weekend Post newspaper article, no public funds have been commissioned to finance President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi’s private homestead at Sekoma.

  In a press statement, Office of the President calls the article malicious and false explaining that the President is expending his own personal and family resources to finance renovations and improvements at the said family farmstead.

The release further informs the public that President Masisi is not responsible for his own security and that any security presence at official and private places of his abode is detailed in accordance with security measures deployed by law enforcement institutions.

“There is absolutely no instance of any of the security personnel so deployed, being given chores of providing labour, expertise or any other form of contribution towards the construction work being carried out at the President’s family farmstead,” says the release. Ends
