Mokalake in Rwanda

The Minister of Lands and Housing, Mr Lebonaamang Mokalake left for Kigali, Rwanda on September 3 to attend the second International Tripartite Conference.
The conference aims to strengthen future collaborations between the European Commissions, the European Union, the Secretariat of the ACP Group States, AACP governments and UN-HATAB.
A press release from the ministry states that the collaborations will harmonise contributions towards the Millennium Development Goals, especially those relating to urban poverty reduction and slum upgrading and prevention. They will also develop the participatory of the Third United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat 111, 2016), and that shall open the discussions on a new “Urban Agenda” for the 21st Century for ACP countries, says the release.
The conference will be attended by members from ACP Group of States, ACP Governments and UN-HABITAT, European Union and the European Commission, states the release. The minister is accompanied by deputy permanent secretary, Mr Maotoanong Sebina and other senior government officials. ENDS
