Vote wisely during October 23 elections

Batswana have been urged to vote wisely during the October 23 general elections.

Launching Mochudi East parliamentary candidate, Mr Moagi Molebatsi and council candidates on October 5, the leader of the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) Advocate Duma

Boko said his party promised Batswana decent lives hence they would increase the old age pension and tertiary student allowances.

He said the UDC government would make a minimum living wage of P3 000, saying what Batswana were offered currently was insufficient to sustain them for a month.

Mr Boko said Mr Molebatsi did a sterling job during his tenure in the just dissolved Parliament.

Mr Molebatsi became an MP after the death of incumbent, Mr Isaac Davids, and he said during his two years he excelled as illustrated by the newly opened Mmathubudukwane Police Station.

For his part, Mochudi West parliamentary candidate, Mr Tona Mooketsi said it was time the BDP was voted out of power.

He said while everyone was excited that the BDP was a new party under a new leader, it still remained the same.

Gaborone mayor, Mr Kagiso Thutĺwe also praised Mr Molebatsi for his sterling performance in Parliament. ENDS
